Everyone knows that how good your hair looks in Second Life is an accurate measure of how good you are. In that way, SL does mirror RL. Part of the issue is "what is hair and where do I get it?" the noob strains against his own bad style. Until now that there is a shopping sim completely dedicated to your hair-appeal, making finding that perfect doo relatively easy and quickly too. I stumbled into Hairspray (hairspray 21,22) the other day by chance, and I had to say that I was impressed immediatley in the consistent theme that the creators chose for their sim. Permission? Unlikely. Trademarks? Hey, that's for real life! In addition to the Hairspray, Hairspray the Musical, Hairspray the Movie again, references, the whole sim oozes of some fruit smoothie of candy colored atomic age cartoons. The shops have a distinctive Flinstones via the Jetsons design motif - even being greeted by the Rosie the Robot as you teleport in on a spinning record. I found it hard to leave this spot, and stayed being ignored by gals at a rate of two a minute. Perhaps I need a better hair style?
